About Me
Thanks for visiting my website. I am a psychotherapist located in Austin, Texas who sees adults and adolescents for individual, couples, and family counseling. Therapy is only helpful and effective in the context of a strong client/therapist relationship. Therefore, finding the right fit when looking for a therapist is very important. Here is some information about me to help you determine if I might be a good fit for you.
I feel privileged to do this work. I genuinely enjoy getting to know my clients, hearing their stories, and being a part of the change process. I consider myself a work in progress as well and am encouraged and inspired by others who are on the same path. I offer a warm, open and casual environment. My style is to both listen effectively and to actively participate by giving feedback and offering insights and ideas.
I use a variety of different psychological practice models and interventions to promote wellness for mind, body, and soul. Some of the theories and interventions that I draw from include Attachment Theory, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization, and Reprocessing), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as Mindfulness and Self Compassion practices. I enjoy learning about the latest research on the brain and its amazing ability to heal and change often referred to as Neuroplasticity. I also have personally benefited from the healing power of nutrition, exercise, and sleep and help clients assess their habits in these areas and make necessary adjustments as they are essential to well-being. |
