About Therapy

Therapy, also referred to as psychotherapy, talk therapy, or counseling, is the process of meeting with a licensed mental health professional. This relationship creates a safe and confidential place to speak honestly about any problems you may be having in your life. The therapist is trained to listen effectively, provide a nonjudgmental and supportive environment, and to help you move towards growth and well-being with the use of research based interventions.
